Melissa Sloan says the tattoo helped her overcome a past of abuse, but suffered from the judgment of others and was unable to apply for a job for many years.
Melissa Sloan (45 years old, UK) has ink stains covered from head to toe. She told the Daily Star that the tattoos help cover her "scars of the past".
Melissa said that she was sexually abused by her brother
Gavin Sloan (46 years old), since the age of 6 and it took many years to tell the truth.
In May, Gavin Sloan was sentenced to 21 years in prison tatkuink clothing after pleading guilty to raping and sexually assaulting dozens of children.
"I've suffered all my life from abuse since I was a child. My whole body is covered with tattoos and that's how I deal with childhood trauma. I try to erase painful memories. suffering and gradually 'addicted' to tattooing".
Melissa describes "tattoo addiction" as alcoholism and sometimes she just can't control it. She got her first tattoo at the age of 20, 4 years after leaving because of abuse by her brother.
Then, every week, she got a new tattoo, until there was no place left to continue inking.

causing Melissa to be subjected to scrutiny every time she viking apparel goes out. She also couldn't find a job for many years.
"I applied for a job cleaning toilets but they said they couldn't accept it because I have too many tattoos. The first job I did was cleaning many years ago, but it didn't last long."
Melissa now has a 7-year-old son and is just hoping to find a job that is enough to support them. "I want to fit in but still be myself with tattoos like this. People don't have to sympathize but I don't want to run away to another place," Melissa shared.
